Wrangler 11MWZ
Thank you very much for your support.
PATTERN LABO.My name is Ikasan.
By tearing apart good old vintage clothing, thinking about it, and fantasizing about it, I am striving to make current manufacturing more interesting.
Now, for the second edition of ``Clothes wo Hori'', I decided to try Wrangler pants as well as the G jacket.
I was struck by the balance between the sophisticated shape designed in the same way as the G jacket and the specifications that would tickle the hearts of vintage lovers.
Wrangler is good.
The overall silhouette gives the impression of being quite slender, and if you were to compare it to Levi's, it would be somewhere between 501 and 606.
I haven't dug into 519 yet, but is it something like that?
The pockets are placed to the side and the shape of the crotch is reminiscent of riding a horse.
Wrangler 11MWZ-Brand Tag
Add it here⁉
Names are attached to positions that may surprise you.
The location is the carry-out part when you open the previous ZIP.
Where do you see it when you take it off and put it on?
Is it easy to check the size depending on how you fold it?
It's fun to be able to think about things like that.
The stitching makes it feel like you don't have to worry about stepping on it, which gives it a vintage look.
Wrangler 11MWZ's crotch
In the first place, the raised part at the bottom front is not a switch, but is made as a continuation of the body, so it might be more fitting to call the visible part a facing.
The facing part extends to the inner thigh seam, and the bottom front is stitched on top of the folded seam allowance on the top front.
It seems like it takes a lot of time, but once you get used to it, it seems to be surprisingly efficient.
Wrangler 11MWZ-ZIP stitching
The stitching for attaching the zipper was a lock stitch.
Since 606 was chain stitched, I couldn't help but check that part as well. lol
Wrangler 11MWZ-Coin pocket opening
This W stitch is a narrow chain stitch.
As with Lee, the use of lock stitch and chain stitch are both interesting in their own ways.
Wrangler 11MWZ-belt tip
It was the same as G Jean.
(Click here for the 111MJ episode)
The end of the belt attachment side falls to the body.
“Ah, I guess I wasn’t that good at sewing.”
You thought so. Just a moment please.
I thought so too at first.
But no. The stitching on this one has been intentionally removed.
Isn't it amazing? it's funny, is not it? ?
I will explain from my perspective why I am dropping it.
The side of the belt is chain stitched.
Chain stitch is susceptible to thread unraveling, and backstitching is not possible.
The problem then is how to start and finish sewing.
If you use this Wrangler sewing method, the end of the chain stitch will be sewn into the belt without being visible.
What a thoughtful design! I was surprised.
Don't underestimate it as workwear. I can see that a lot of thought has been put into it. Not only the design, but also the specifications that tickle the hearts of vintage geeks, I can't help but feel why it is one of the three major denim brands despite being a latecomer.
At Levi's, it is held in place with stitches.
In Lee, the specifications of the belt tip were changed in the first place.
The fact that they end their lives at the end of their belts may be the part where you can feel their individual identities.
Wrangler 11MWZ-Takeout
The end of the zipper tape is visible. Personally, they remind me of Dickies work pants.
I think this is where you can feel the balance between efficiency and design that I mentioned at the beginning.
It seems like there are different tastes here.
By the way, I prefer Levi's.
so,
It was fun this time too!
[Wrangler 11MWZ)] This is it.
