Vintage Levis 519-1979 Orange Tab
This time it's 519 Orange Tab.
I thought that many people might think of 519XX when they hear the number 519, so I specified it as an orange tab. We are talking about orange tabs here .
(519XX comes with 506XX blanket)
519 is a slim jeans, but isn't 606 slim with orange tabs?
I think so.
I thought so too. So, how is it different from 606?
Let's look at the silhouette in comparison with 606.
levis 519 silhouette
It's a little hard to see, but
The yellow line is 606 that I introduced earlier ,
The green line drawing is 519.
What do you think?
The waist measurements are almost the same, but the 519 is looser from the waist down.
This is the same image as the one you wore.
As I know, it seems to be getting thinner in the form of 606>519.
levis 519 crotch
This is the front crotch part.
The seam allowance on the crotch side is temporarily held in by the edge stitch that is added after the corbel and seam.
By including this step, you can prevent the problem of the raw edges coming out from the seams, which is called a puncture.
Above all, the timing of adding stitches is good, or the part where you connect them from the top stitch.
levis 519 TAB
There is nothing special to write about, but
It was attached so diagonally that I couldn't help but want to post it.
levis 519 belt stitch
The belt is attached using chain stitch from top to bottom.
Of course there is, but what I'm looking at here is the color of the stitching on the front edge, not the top and bottom.
Navy color is used on both the right front and left front.
606, 646, 519, vintage orange tabs have navy stitching here.
I think it's very likely that there was some kind of process problem in that the lockstitch sewing machine had thread of this color.
When it comes to design, I like the attention to detail.
“You need to be particular about sewing and cutting.”
It's so emotional that it seems to be taking over Jacob Davis's thoughts.
So, am I thinking too much? lol
levis 519 with zip
The double stitch used to sew the zipper was a chain stitch.
This is the same as in 606, but
``Amazing! 'I got excited and reported this to a former factory worker at the company who said, 'That's right, that was normal at my previous job.'
The answer came back, so it might be common depending on the factory.
It's hidden, so you can't see it, and it's sewn in, so there's no need to backstitch.
levis 519 patch
It's a patch that feels a little strange to me, as I only see vintage 501s and damaged models that don't have patches.
Can this be counted as vintage? I thought about it for a while, but I decided to call it vintage until about this age.
I'm taking the plunge and dismantling a pair of jeans from the early 2000s, but no matter how you look at them, they're not vintage in my opinion.
However, since it is a product made over 20 years ago, I don't think it is a current product.
I am working on this after really thinking about it, but I feel like I am gradually becoming clearer about where I am.
This item may have a slightly less vintage feel, but if you look at it from a pattern perspective, it's a really interesting item, so I hope you'll look forward to it.
If you only look at 501, you will be less likely to be able to write duplicate content.
519 is the same, and has the same contents as 606.
I'll post the image as I hope it will be of help to you.
That's all for now,
so,
It was fun this time too! !
